Our Master Bathroom is so completely different than it was when I first met my husband. This used to be a very dark space with brown walls and brown marble countertops and brown flooring and the shower was a big closed in box that was right in the center of the space.
We knew that we wanted to lighten up the space and make the most of our gorgeous views so we decided to open up the shower with glass walls and update the flooring with a lighter porcelain tile on the walls behind the vanities as well as the floors.
The ceilings are so high in here because we are on the second floor so I had our contractor add the wood beams to the ceiling in the bathroom as well as in our bedroom to give it a more warm and cozy and cohesive feeling.
I absolutely love the rich texture that the wood beams provide and they also blend well with the hardwood floors in our master bedroom.
We also changed out two sets of double doors in the bathroom with these gorgeous new metal framed glass doors which help to let in more light as well as maximize the views.
The bathtub used to be an old sunken tub with a whirlpool and we decided to modernize the simple space with a free-standing tub and faucet, and took out all the steps that used to lead up to the tub.
The Master Bathroom feels so much more relaxed, open, clean and bright and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
